This was the second home I've purchased through VU, and they excelled both times. Nick, Nico, and Maria were professional, well informed, and helped us navigate the process with zero stress. I will call them again if I buy another home.
My loan team was courteous but they lacked attention to detail with my closing resulting in a very tense 24 hours prior to my closing. They failed to read my initial contract and instead of me receiving 2400 back at closing I ended up having to pay 1600 which my team then credited my loan so that at closing I did not have to pay that amount which could have been avoided if they were meticulous looking though the initial builder contract and all of the addendum included with the contract. Jeremy in particular seemed to always be out of sorts. They had the wrong realtor information for most of the process when my realtors information was on my contract as well. He sent incorrect information through email as well and stated it was just a template and didnt mean to send it to me. I just felt his professionalism was lacking and then at the last hour it came back to bite me in the rear. I wished they read all the documents and went through them with a fine tooth comb before making false promises and guarantees then less than 24 hours before closing then catching a mistake that should have been caught on the first day.
Super fast loan process. My team was excellent the whole way from beginning to end answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns promptly. I couldn’t be more thankful for these amazing people!
Buying a house can be overwhelming, but Karol team made it extremely exciting and easy. I am army active duty found a house online near to my duty station and wanted to buy it. I was not able to see the house, or be there on closing date in person. The team was professional responsive, and truly made me feel supportive though the process. All I can say, is that if you’re lucky enough to get Mike on your team, your experience will be even better. Veterans United Home Loans is seriously the best loan company to go through and they really have your back. They answer your questions and don’t abandon you when you’ve locked in a home and are closing or in that process. They’re supportive and answer all questions quickly and take care of a LOT of things on their end to make your life easier. I will always recommend. Working with VU has been a nightmare. Some say my treatment from VU was age. I feel it was because I’m Black. My main objective now it to pay this loan off and forget this whole ordeal. I’m only one person that have given you a poor review. I hope what happened to me has not been a pattern. Theses are my true feelings and you knew all along that I felt I was targeted.

We’ve used VU twice and a smaller lender once for our three total times we’ve purchased a home using the VA Loan. Will highly recommend them over and over as we haven’t seen many other lenders top their customer service and support throughout the process. We always feel informed and like we’re part of the entire process during each step, whereas other lenders keep to themselves while working on things behind the scenes. Grateful for VU and will always recommend them for VA Loans.
